Efficiency

Glass material has 0% coefficient of water absorption itself, but Temma glass (including Glass Okoshi) structurally forms airspace inside, being porous. Thus, water absorption and water retention capacity increase in proportion to the size of grain of glass.

The key technology used in interface glass ceramics which is also known as “Glass Okoshi” (patented material) gave birth to Tenma glass. Glass Okoshi surface is of matte texture, but Tenma glass is peculiarly made from glittery substances of glass. Tenma glass is mainly made of recycled glass bottles, but also using recycled window glass and car glass for its surface.

Production methods

By following casting methodology. First, the mold is made out of cray, and then refractory plaster is used to make the template. After pouring the grain of glass into the template, firing is done for about 1 hour at lower melting point which is below 800℃ as followed in the ceramic industry.

Operations

Factories are mainly welfare workplaces. They pour the grain of glass into the template, firing it using microcomputer-controlled furnace and packing the finished products into the box.

In today’s age, talented artists are enjoying making art works at their atelier with free spirit. Once their clay works have new function, a new art world which has never been known before will open and spread around the world.
